  Howard's Corner   As I walk through the club watching members workout, I ask myself the question...

Could I approach a person who is using "bad" form, or using too much weight, and suggest an adjustment that would increase the benefit from that exercise?

Some people pride themselves in their workouts and to bother them could be interpreted as an insult. Others would welcome the useful tip.

This leads to the ultimate question,

How can I get the message across to members of Old City; that if you are not seeing the desired results from your workout, or if you are in constant pain after the workout, talk to our staff.

Scott, JP, Marvin and myself, are all qualified to discuss and demonstrate proper form, routines and technique... plus, we love doing it!

One of our main goals is to have each member "see" positive results from their workouts. Members who would like to discuss their workouts can contact us personally at the gym.

Remember:
Form is more important than weight.

The slower the rep the more effective it will be. The more effective the routine is, the happier you will be.
