In the heart of Old City Philadelphia, along with such historic shrines as Betsy Ross's House, Elfreth's Alley, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell, is a Fitness Club that overflows with "energy" & "enthusiasm". Old City Iron Works (OCI) offers the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction to its members and guests in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
From the moment you enter the facility, you are greeted by smiling faces, ready to welcome you "by name" and encourage you to leave your life outside and focus on your reasons for coming into the club. Our staff is ready to offer you knowledge and motivation, to help make your workouts as energized as possible. The OCI staff can offer information on the use of any of the cardiovascular and circuit training equipment.
Our Cardiovascular area, which is on the second floor, includes treadmills, stair steppers, elliptical trainers, and stationary bikes. On the first floor you will find our Body Master Circuit Training equipment, which includes illustrations and descriptions of proper use and muscles involved in the exercise. Pre-weight barbells, free weights, dumbbells, are also readily available.

Classes are conducted downstairs on the basement level and feature yoga, spinning, Tai Fit and a wide range of exercise type classes including Abs, Calisthenics, and other cardiovascular conditioning classes. In the warmer months, we offer group biking outside through parts of Philadelphia, as well as jogging through Old City and over the Ben Franklin Bridge and back.
NEW cardio equipment, NEW Locker Room facilities!
Personal training is available for members who desire "one on one" motivational workouts. See our front desk staff for a list of Trainers.
Our mission is to help you achieve nutritional and fitness goals with motivation, education and a smile.
